Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie is set to the legion of Ghanaian recording and performing entertainers who staged a virtual concert amidst these trying moments of the global pandemic, Novel Coronavirus – COVID-19. In a recent tweet, the 2015 BET Best International Flow award-winner announced that, he is on a journey to take fans through, atleast, a 3hour “Black Love” virtual live concert which will create reality experiences universally accessible and enjoyable.

Scheduled for August 16, 2020, it is believed that the event will serve as a build up to his Europe, America and UK tours after restriction on social gatherings is lifted, and also as measures enlisted to promote his current album, Black Love – a twi-infused Afrobeats celebrate the beauty of homeland pride. The concert will exclusively stream live on – an award winning developer of premium social virtual and augmented reality experiences.

Sarkodie released his fifth studio album Black Love on December 20, 2019. It features guest artistes such as Mr Eazi, Efya, Donae’o, Idris Elba, Stonebwoy, Tekno, Maleek Berry, King Promise and Kizz Daniel. The album was supported by the previously released singles “Party & Bullshit”, “Saara”, “Do You” and “Can’t Let Go”. In an interview with OkayAfrica in November, Sarkodie said the album explores themes of black love and relationships.
