Keta Senior High Technical School has for the first time qualified for the Grand Finale of the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ). They won the contest with 53 points, whereas their closest contender – Wesley Girls’ High School – scored 35 points at the end of the five rounds of the contest. Tamale SHS got 31 points.

It was a keenly contested intellectual battle. Tamale SHS took an early lead, but the girls from Cape Coast would not allow that, taking the baton as the contest progressed. However, their lead was cut short by the team from Keta SHTS, popularly called the ‘Volta Varsity.’

Keta SHTS will meet Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and the winner of the third Semifinal contest, featuring Opoku Ware School, Prempeh College and KNUST-SHS, which will be held later today.
