Home of the Atlanta Hawks, State Farm Arena in Atlanta will the venue host for this year’s NBA All-Star games and skills competition which will take place on the 7th of March, 2021. The league’s annual global celebration of the game will take place on one night for the first time and the two All-Star teams will compete to win each quarter for their respective beneficiaries.
This year’s proceeds, per the NBA and National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have announced that $ 2.5 million and resources in funds will be committed towards Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and also support the awareness around equity and access to COVID-19 care, relief, and vaccines.
According to NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver the annual tradition of celebrating the NBA All-Star will be continued in Atlanta. In addition to the festivities on the court, the All-Star game will honour the vital role HBCU’s play in their communities and focus attention and resources on COVID-19 relief, particularly for the most vulnerable.
The All-Star game consists of the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the MTN DEW 3-Point Contest, the NBA All-Star Game which features the best players from the Eastern and Western Conference, and the AT&T Slam Dunk.
