Mr Eazi; Nigerian singer-songwriter, and entrepreneur is set to launch an experimental plan that will give fans the opportunity to own equity percentage on his songs. According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of eMPawa Africa, this initiative is birthed as measures to appreciate fans who have invested their resources to stream his music – a decision that has seen him being shortlisted in the top 5 most streamed African artistes consistently in the last half-a-decade.
Giving insight into how profitable the idea would be, the singer stated that, the more fans stream to become a true part of a global smash hit they helped create, percentage of the revenue generated goes back to them; consumers as benefit of their investments. Fans are to hit this Link https://bit.ly/2VW7tDI to register their interest in Getting Equity in his next release. He explained that, by doing this they will become the 1st in line to sign up once the initiative is launched.
In a series of tweets announcing the yet to be launched initiative, he wrote;
“Gonna try an experiment on my next release where you guys the fans will be able to buy shares on My song! Meaning you will own an equity % on the song! As u stream & give me $ some goes back to You!!!”
“I have consistently since 2016 been Top 5 most streamed African Artists & thats 100% due to my fans!! I love you guys!! And it’s time to get you in on the equity side!!!”
“Imagine you had a % of my last song with Nicki or my new single “LENTO “ with Jbalvin!!! As u stream u make it a hit, some of the $ comes to you! But most importantly you are a true part of the Global Smash Hit you helped create.”
“The growth of African Music must benefit us all, from the creators to the Fans!!”
The Nigerian afropop superstar and Colombian reggaeton sensation J BALVIN continue their cross-continental connection on the smooth and infectious “Lento.” The track, out now on all DSPs, is the third collaboration between the pair, and the first to see release as a single.
Giants in their respective spheres, MR EAZI and J BALVIN bridge their musical worlds on an undulating beat from Nigerian producer KILLERTUNES, trading lyrics in Spanish, English and Yoruba, with a hat tip to Elvis Crespo’s merengue classic “Suavemente.” The pair previously collaborated on “Como Un Bebé,” from J BALVIN’s 2019 album Oasis with Bad Bunny, and “Arcoíris” from J BALVIN’s Colores, which recently won the Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album.
